Parkson Shopping Centre at Gubei have a great range of toys, but also on the third level just under Aussino are two toy shops, one called LK Toys and one called Big. Big features big sturdy outdoor toys such as ride on tractors etc as well as a small range of Ravensburger games and puzzles. LK Toys were more a selection of cheaper toys, but is the kind of shop in which you just might get lucky and find something different

Grand Gateway Plaza on the 3rd floor has several children’s stores. Products ranger from clothing, shoes, baby gear and of course toys. Chicco in particular stock safely equipment such as baby capsules, car seats, prams and non-slip bowls.

It is a busy underground market offering shoppers an extensive range of items ranging from clothes, shoes, toys, kid’s costumes, books and even equipment.

If you’re looking for places to buy craft supplies for the kids then the most extensive range can be found at Fuyou Street Merchandise Mart at YuYuan Gardens. Address: FuYuan Building, corner of FuYou Lu and Lishui Lu, Huangpu. Phone: 6374 5632

Craft supplies can also be found along Fuzhou Lu. There are numerous shops on both sides of the street selling inexpensive craft supplies.

Kid friendly art supplies can be found at Crayola, products range from crayons, pens, pipe cleaners to coloured paper. It’s worth a visit. Address: 200 Fujian Zhong Lu, just past Fuzhou Lu corner, remember it’s a one way street heading north. Phone: 6375 7841

There are a few wool shops along Ruijin Lu (between Jianguo Lu and Fuzing Lu). They sell inexpensive yarn.
